🌴 The Final Day, But Not the Final Impact

🌅 Day 4 at Holt's House: Second Chances and Safe Travels

As our mission trip comes to a close, our hearts are full. The Lord has blessed us with another incredible day of ministry, fellowship, and opportunities to share the hope of Jesus Christ.

The day began bright and early, with several team members painting around the Holt's House campus before the Dominican heat set in. Others enjoyed another wonderful breakfast prepared by the incredible staff—pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, and toast. We have certainly been well cared for during our time here!

Throughout the morning, George continued working on a special project: building a cross that will be installed in the pavilion at Holt's House, leaving behind a lasting reminder of the hope found in Christ.

By mid-afternoon, the boys began arriving, and before long the basketballs were bouncing, baseballs were flying, and smiles filled the grounds. If there's one thing we've learned this week, it's that these kids never seem to run out of energy!

After enjoying a meal of chicken, rice and beans, and potato salad, the team presented the story of Jonah once again, with Paul Eastwood stepping into the role of Jonah. As always, the boys eagerly jumped in to act out the story themselves, bringing plenty of laughter while also understanding its powerful message. They shared that we should obey God and were thankful that He is a God who gives second chances.

The team then walked through the Gospel using a Bible tract shaped like a cross. As the boys unfolded each section, they took turns reading the different parts of the Gospel story. At the conclusion, one young man raised his hand and shared that he wanted to surrender his life to Christ.

There is no greater reason to rejoice than seeing another life changed by the Gospel. We praise God for His saving grace and the work He continues to do in the hearts of these young men.

As the evening came to a close, saying goodbye was just as emotional as it had been with the girls. Relationships were formed, memories were made, and there were plenty of hugs before everyone headed home.

The team wrapped up their final evening together by enjoying mangos and ice cream—a sweet ending to an unforgettable week of serving the Lord.

• ✈️ Safe travels and smooth flights as everyone returns home.
• ❤️ The two young men who gave their lives to Christ this week, that they would continue growing in their faith.
• 🙏 The children and staff at Holt's House, that God would continue the work He has begun in their hearts.
• 💪 Rest and renewed strength for our mission team after a full week of ministry.
• 🌱 Lasting fruit from every lesson, conversation, game, and act of service shared throughout the week.

Thank you for faithfully partnering with us in prayer over these past several days. Your encouragement and prayers have meant so much, and we are grateful to have shared this journey with you.
