🌿 Day 3 at Holt's House: One More Name Written in the Book of Life

What a beautiful day the Lord provided at Holt's House of Hope!

The morning began with the staff preparing a delicious Dominican breakfast of empanadas—a classic Latin American pastry filled with savory ingredients. Needless to say, they were a favorite, and our team enjoyed several of these tasty treats!

After breakfast, the team gathered with the Holt's House staff for a Bible study through the book of Galatians. Together they reflected on several foundational truths of the Gospel:

• There is only one true Gospel.
• We are justified by faith alone, not by our works.
• The Law reveals our inability to save ourselves and points us to our need for Christ.
• God's grace should inspire us to live lives filled with good works for His glory.

Throughout the day, ministry took many forms. George and Wanda helped lead projects building benches and painting sidewalks, while others prepared to welcome the girls for the afternoon.

Once everyone arrived, the team served a meal before presenting the story of Jonah and the Great Fish. This time, the girls were invited to act out the story themselves, making the lesson on trusting and obeying the Lord both memorable and engaging. It was wonderful to see how well they understood the message!

The afternoon continued with music, dancing, Gospel-centered activities, and meaningful conversations. Gail led the girls through songs using her "dancing men," and the team walked them through the Gospel using a Bible tract that unfolded into the shape of a cross. The girls also enjoyed several games and activities as relationships continued to grow.

As the day came to a close, saying goodbye to the girls was emotional. Since this was the last day the team would spend with them, there were hugs, tears, and heartfelt farewells.

That evening, after sharing a wonderful meal together, Dave and Kim Rowland shared the incredible story of how Holt's House of Hope was founded and the heart behind the ministry. It was a moving reminder of God's faithfulness and His work through those who are willing to serve.

✝️ The Greatest News of the Day

During the evening Gospel discussion, one of the boys at Holt's House surrendered his life to Jesus Christ!

There is no greater joy than seeing someone place their faith in Christ, and we rejoice alongside heaven for this precious decision.

To God alone be the glory!

As the team continues serving, please pray for:

• Continued spiritual growth for the young man who accepted Christ.
• The children who have heard the Gospel, that God's Word would continue to take root in their hearts.
• Strength, wisdom, and endurance for our mission team.
• Encouragement for the faithful staff at Holt's House as they continue ministering long after our team returns home.
• That every conversation, lesson, and act of service would continue pointing people to Jesus.
